You literally cannot go anywhere without this face staring at you.
(Photo was staged, don't worry! haha)
A trip to the beach meant a memory card of bird photos but I'm so sure that I've posted enough and it'd make a change to share this beaut. Thanks Mother Nature!! :)
After a morning sorting the house out, Mam stopped by with my early Easter gift (a new Winter coat!) and we headed out with little man. He had fun paddling and running, then we came home for a quiet evening.
Today was the day I chose as my February 'day in photos', a new series for Underland to Wonderland, which also funnily enough coincided with the 'photo an hour' project that a few of my blogging friends on Twitter do.
It was a fairly quiet, normal day and this shot is from when Baker and I popped around the corner to feed the ducks and swans. We really are immensely lucky that this view is a 2 minute walk from our house.
The most beautiful little girls got Christened today. Happy Christening Day Erin and Faye.
This nutter wanted his hair cut and couldn't wait to got to the hairdressers...hence the home job. Because I helped him do it he promised that he'd let me take his portrait for my photo of the day. I'd of liked one of us together but after a day of tidying and movie watching I wasn't exactly presentable.
After another quiet day, I met my Mam after work for our semi-regular Cafe Nero catch up and pop to the shops. Then we came back to mine to pick up the furry male and took him for a twilight playtime at the field.
I feel like all I write about doing is cleaning, but with a man and a dog its necessary, and today was a day doing such. To end off the day I made a 'Sunday' dinner. Guess which is Jakes and which is mine!

After finally having been to the doctors and finding out why I'd been feeling so poorly, I managed to get out and post off the prize of my giveaway to the winner!
Just like usual Baker and I met up with my Mam, this Friday and took the long walk up to my Mam and Dads house. On the way I spotted what I thought was an otter in the river. It couldn't be?! Not in Berwick!! I whipped out my camera, stuck the long lens on and zoomed it. It was! We spent a good half hour watching two otters dive and spin and play in the river, and this one eating his fresh catch off his belly.
Another day spent meeting up with Mam, this time we ventured over to the beach. Weekends are so unbelievably stressful when out dog walking because of the sheer amount of owners who do not respect other people. Anyways, luckily the beach was pretty much deserted upon our arrival and Mam kindly entertained little man up on the sand, while I got wet feet creeping up on b
Sunday was spent yet again with Baker and I meeting my Mam! haha We walked up to go and meet my Dad from the train station and back to ours for a little early birthday buffet put together by me. Basic, but yummy. Especially the cake.
Unfortunately greedy me must of eaten too much because come 1am there was a reappearance (sorry!) and Jake had to look after me.
Happy Birthday Jake!! We're not big on celebrating birthdays so after a lie in, we slowly pulled ourselves together and headed off into town to run a couple errands as well as have a walk along castle vale and the river.
This little beaut is a baby pigeon and he'd been sprayed with spray paint. Jake and I had popped into town this morning while Baker was still asleep, after a good look around and a couple bags in hand we headed home but spotted this poor little mite huddled in a doorway on the way. There was no other option than to take him home so I took off my coat and scooped him up to carry him home with us. We kept him in Bunnys old cage that we still had and tried to temp him with water and seed while we waited on the wildlife trust to come pick him up.
When the lady arrived she said that he may need to be put down but after seeing him and giving him a quick once over she said she thought that he'd clean up and be okay with some hand rearing.
Please, if you're reading this, don't just leave an animal you see that maybe need help. No matter what it is. They are not vermin, they are living breathing creatures.
What with our special little visitor stealing the limelight yesterday, I didn't get to show off my new additions to 'the cabinet'. I spotted these in the Antique store window a few days ago while out with my Mam and Jake was so lovely as to buy me them. We're calling it a late Xmas gift seeing as my coat had to be sent back!
I've done a lot of research online but can't quite seems to date them at all yet, so if anyone has any information feel free to comment.

Today saw the first ever Harry Potter Book Night, an event from the publishers, Bloomsbury, that I wasn't even aware of until reading Charlene's awesome post 9 Things You Didn't Know About Harry Potter. However, I dunno if you already know this about me but I literally read the whole Harry Potter series on a loop. It was a happy accident that I was up to the last chapter of 'The Order of the Phoenix' and documented the beginning of the end for this event.
Seeing as I'm the 'girl with the camera', Mam and Dad asked me to pop up to theirs to photograph some stuff they are selling, of course where I go Baker goes and so after meeting his Granda (my Dad) from work we took the massive trek up to their house for the afternoon. We did what was needed, watched a movie on Netflix and had our dinner, all while Baker's 'I want to go home now' body clock was ticking. This is his 'please Mammy' face.
This Saturday consisted of having breakfast out with Mam, walking Baker in a completely new spot and getting a text from Mam on her way home on the bus to check out the sky. I hung out our bedroom windows for quite a while trying to photograph the completely awesome sunset - but failed to convey just how crazy it was in person. Mother nature is beautiful.
Lazy Sunday turned into Baker and I meeting my Mam and Dad for a walk along to Spittal. We popped into their 'local' for Dad to watch the Newcastle match. We almost made it to half time before Baker insisted on heading home and we had a lazy evening with Daddy!
Last minute plans to meet Claire are the best. We headed to our new favorite beach and little man had an absolute blast. There weren't nearly as many birds today as there was last time but I got a few snaps. Look out for a blog post of our winter beach adventures over on my main blog in the coming weeks.
Well. After 3 days of chest pain I finally got myself so worried that I went to the doctors. I wouldn't usually, I hate going, but with a history of heart issues in the family I wanted to make sure it was nothing to worry about. Thankfully it's nothing to do with my heart and isn't even very serious, but my goodness is it painful! Thats my diagnoses on the card.
With my recent 'scare' or not so much, as well as a weight gain of 2 stone over the past year or so, I really need to watch what I'm eating - especially my excessive intake of salt (seriously, I put it on everything).
Broccoli is one vegetable that I could live on. I love it! And think it looks so appealing with the rice and seasoning - mmmm.

Back to our favorite field today and some play time with Granny while enjoying the pretty sky and frosty afternoon.
Fridays are my Mam's day off so, before she went to spend the day looking after my Nana, we took a trip over to Baker and I's new favorite beach! This bay is always full of birds but I was super excited to see a group of 4 Juvenile Turnstones together (one rebel not pictured as it was down on the sand, near the adult..perhaps mother).
I wish that was me in the photo, but it was infact my Mam! She got her very first tattoo today and we got to catch up with my good friend Laura...although we went into 3 restaurants and they were all full to capacity so lunch was in McDonalds...
I woke up feeling really poorly today and didn't fancy a dog walk, but Jake said he'd come with me and we ventured along to the old field near the river. I haven't been here since long before Christmas when Baker was attacked by the 3 dogs and the owner told me not to come back. Luckily with it being so cold and windy there was no one else around.
Still not feeling 100% today, apart from Bakers walk to the park and a little bit of housework all we did was comment on blogs and watch Netflix! The moon was looking particularly pretty however so I attempted a few shots of it. Not the best I've ever had but it'll do.
I'm actually surprised that there hasn't been anymore photos of these guys in this project so far. When meeting people to go over to town etc, the usual meeting place is 'the ducks'. Baker and I met Mam after she finished work tonight so we took the chance to get a few snaps of theses posers while we waited.
This needs no title other than, 'Worlds Greatest Dad'.
